Our bank of K-8 formative assessments are informed by research, practice, and most of all, experience. As former classroom teachers, we know the importance of seeing student work and keeping the assessment process student and teacher-driven.
In the classroom, teachers administer our assessments in paper and pencil form. In distance learning, they simply upload our assessments into online learning tools like Seesaw or Google Slides, allowing them to gather feedback electronically, but still see student work and thinking.
Our assessments give teachers powerful, actionable feedback regarding student math learning - identifying which skills students have mastered, which skills students still need to practice, and which skills they still need to learn.
Teachers can then gather and track this data in one place using our online Progress Monitoring tool.
MasterTrack Benchmark Assessments provide a baseline regarding student learning on foundational math standards. We provide beginning, middle, and end of year Benchmark Assessments to enable teachers to collect this baseline data at multiple points in the school year.
MasterTrack Checkpoint Assessments provide teachers with feedback on individual standards. After working with students on a skill they have not yet mastered, teachers use our Checkpoints to check for improved understanding and inform future instruction.
"Teachers have found the program to be an asset for instruction. Principals are benefiting from informative data reports. Common assessments keep everyone focused on the same goals and MasterTrack Assessments help with that process."
